Posted by blia On April - 2 - 20101 COMMENT

BLIA recently attended the 2010 NGO Global Forum for Women in New York. We met many courageous people representing NGOs from North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia and who are working hard to spread equality and understanding.

While many ideas were shared, everyone agreed that education and accessibility to technology were key to women’s rights. We are proud to be part of a global group of NGOs who are steadfastly moving forward to create a better world for all people.

The new “Locations” page is now live. Find where we are and come visit us soon! We have many more physical locations than are shown here, and we’re working hard on adding them as soon as possible.

As you may have noticed, our website is also social networking enabled, so please share our stories!

Finally, in the spirit of sharing, we thought we’d post what Ralph Cwerman, the President and Founder of The Humpty Dumpty Institute, had to say about our new website:

“I had very little understanding about BLIA’s expansive humanitarian work around the world. The new website is very informative and projects a much more modern, caring and contemporary face of the organization. The photographs are spectacular and the narrative is engaging. You have harnessed the power of the internet and are making sure that the western world sees BLIA through a different and equally compelling “light”.”

Thank you very much for your kind words Mr. Cwerman!

Please refer below for the Secretary General’s “Message Calling for Observance of the Olympic Truce.”

The message is provided in English (pg 1), French (pg 2), Spanish (pg 3), Chinese (pg 4), Russian (pg 5), and Arabic (pg 6).
