BLIA began sending rescue workers, medical teams, and supplies to help the victims of the deadly Sichuan Earthquake in 2008 immediately after the earthquake struck.

Presented below is a record of our donations and daily events from the day the earthquake struck to the end of May 2008.

While this shows our work during the immediate aftermath of the earthquake, our efforts to help rebuild destroyed communities continues to this day.

2010 NGO Global Forum for Women: Beijing +15

BLIA recently attended the 2010 NGO Global Forum for Women in New York. We met many courageous people representing NGOs from North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia and who are working hard to spread equality and understanding.

While many ideas were shared, everyone agreed that education and accessibility to technology were key to women’s rights. We are proud to be part of a global group of NGOs who are steadfastly moving forward to create a better world for all people.
